Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 July 2026
Inyeet is a smart invitation app that helps hosts invite guests, track RSVPs, and share event memories. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored, and the choices you have. It applies to the Inyeet mobile app and this website.
Information we collect
- Phone number. We use your phone number to sign you in with a one-time passcode (phone OTP authentication) and to identify your account. It is also how guests you invite are matched to their invitations.
- Contacts. When you build a guest list, you may choose to import specific contacts from your device. Only the guests you explicitly select are imported. We never upload or store your full address book, and contacts you do not select are never sent to us.
- Photos and videos. Media you add to an invitation (such as an invitation card or video) and memories you share after an event are uploaded so they can be displayed to invited guests. This media is stored on Cloudflare R2 object storage.
- Device identifiers. We store a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push token for your device so we can deliver notifications, such as RSVP updates and event reminders.
- Event and RSVP data. Details you enter about your events (title, date, venue, description) and the RSVP responses of your guests.
- Analytics. We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate so we can improve it.
- Crash and diagnostic reports. We use Firebase Crashlytics to record crashes and errors so we can fix them.
AI-drafted messages
The app can draft invitations, reminders and thank-you messages for you. When you ask it to, only the details needed to write that message — your name as the host, and the event's title, type, date, venue, address, description and dress code — are sent to our AI provider, DeepSeek, which generates the text and returns it to you. No guest information is sent: not their names, phone numbers or RSVP responses. Your contact list and your invitation media are never sent either. The draft is shown to you to edit before anything goes to anyone.
This happens only when you use the AI message feature. If you would rather not use it, write your messages yourself and no event data is sent to the AI provider.
How we use your information
We use the information above to authenticate you, create and deliver invitations, match guests to their invitations, send event-related notifications, display shared event media, and improve the reliability and quality of the app. We do not use your contacts or media for advertising.
How your information is shared
Event details and media you create are shown to the guests you invite. We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that operate the app on our behalf — Google Firebase (authentication, database, messaging, analytics and crash reporting), Cloudflare R2 (media storage) and DeepSeek (AI message drafting, and only when you use that feature, as described above) — and only as needed to provide the service.
Data security
Your data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS. We restrict access to your information to the systems and processes that need it to run the service.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the app at Settings → Delete account. Deleting your account erases your account, the events you host, your guest lists, and associated data. You can also request deletion from the web.
Learn more or request deletion on our account & data deletion page.
Children
Inyeet is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
